TOUR ITINERARY:
Day-1: Arrival in the Mountains: Flight to Skardu & Lakeside Serenity
Your journey begins with a comfortable pickup from Islamabad and a transfer to Islamabad International Airport for a scenic flight to Skardu. Upon arrival, our dedicated team and luxury vehicle (Toyota Prado or equivalent) will welcome you. Begin your exploration with a visit to the pristine Upper Kachura Lake and the hidden paradise of Soq Valley. If time permits, a short excursion to the surreal Katpana Cold Desert can be arranged—its sand dunes set against snowy peaks are a photographer’s dream. Enjoy a relaxing evening and overnight stay in Skardu.
Day-2: Cascades & Culture: Manthoka Waterfall & Khaplu Valley
Begin your day with a scenic drive from Skardu to Manthoka Waterfall, a stunning cascade surrounded by lush greenery and mountains—perfect for photos and a refreshing break. Continue your journey towards the historic Khaplu Fort, where you’ll explore the beautifully preserved palace and learn about the region’s royal heritage. Just nearby, visit the centuries-old Chaqchan Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Baltistan, known for its unique Tibetan-influenced architecture. Enjoy a delicious traditional lunch at the serene Serena Khaplu Palace. Drive back to Skardu. Overnight stay in Skardu
Day-3: Drive to Shigar Valley: Journey Through Mountains, Forts & Fairy-Tale Landscapes
We’ll begin our day with a scenic drive from Skardu to Shigar, and upon arrival, head straight to the stunning Sarfranga Cold Desert to enjoy thrilling adventure activities like desert jeep safaris, quad biking, paramotoring, and horse riding. After the adrenaline rush, we’ll explore the historic Shigar Fort, a 400-year-old architectural gem blending Balti and Tibetan styles, followed by a peaceful walk through the Royal Garden filled with apricot trees. The day ends with a relaxing overnight stay in Shigar, surrounded by serene mountain landscapes. We’ll spend the night in either Shigar.
Day-4: Discover Skardu Beauty
The next day, we’ll either explore local Skardu, visiting landmarks like Upper Kachura Lake, Lower Kachura (Shangrila) Resort, and the historic Skardu Bazaar, or embark on an unforgettable excursion to the majestic Deosai Plains, one of the highest plateaus in the world known for its wild beauty and rich wildlife. After a full day of sightseeing, we’ll return for an overnight stay in Skardu.
Day-5: Fly back to Islamabad
On the final day, we’ll transfer to Skardu Airport for a scenic flight back to Islamabad, carrying unforgettable memories of the mountains with us.
